Welcome to The Brady Project
Better late than never, right? We are excited to finally introduce The Brady Project located in Rumson, New Jersey. The home was completed in early 2022, and showcases a timeless New England shingle-style design with modern influences. Its classic architecture is defined by shingle siding, gabled rooflines, and dormer windows, all creating a balanced and symmetrical façade. The centered entryway, flanked by large windows and a welcoming covered front porch, adds to its traditional charm.
This project was particularly special because well - it was my own home! A dream opportunity, but also one of the hardest projects I’ve ever worked on. Designing for myself was a completely different experience than designing for a client. My goal was to create a timeless family home that felt as though it had always been there, despite being a new build. My husband and I have two young children and a Chocolate Lab puppy, so functionality was just as important as aesthetics. We wanted a home that reflected our New England roots while embracing a modern yet understated elegance.
Each and every material was selected with longevity in mind—from the white oak floors to the honed marble countertops, all meant to patina beautifully over time. The design is a balance of historical inspiration, Scandinavian simplicity, and collected, meaningful pieces that make it feel like a well-traveled home.
