How did you both meet?
Fun fact - We actually met years ago! Our husbands were connected through a mutual friend and had known each other since their post-college years in Hoboken. Patty and her family moved to Rumson first when their children were little, and we followed a few years later. This connection eventually led to our collaboration.
How do your businesses collaborate on a regular basis?
Salt Design Company and Third & Lennox collaborate frequently across various aspects of our projects. One significant area of overlap is in post-construction deep cleaning. For our large-scale renovation and new construction projects, we consistently recommend Patty and her team at Third & Lennox. They don't just clean; they meticulously detail the home, providing us with the perfect canvas for our furniture installations. It's akin to having your car detailed versus a standard car wash.
What do you think the importance of owning a small business is?
Owning a small business holds immense importance on multiple fronts. I love incorporating fresh flowers in the design and styling process because they bring a sense of life, movement, and natural beauty to any space. They act as a finishing touch, softening structured elements and adding vibrancy and color that can tie the whole design together. Flowers have a way of making a space feel welcoming and personal, enhancing the mood and energy of a room. Flowers are an effortless way to elevate a design and create an atmosphere that feels complete and curated.
